Thanksgiving Tree Tradition 🍂 | A Simple Family Gratitude Craft
Hi friends,
This is a tradition we started last year, and I’m absolutely in love with it. Before we dive into Christmas decorating, we put up our tree and give it a Thanksgiving twist first. It’s such a fun and meaningful Thanksgiving craft idea that helps our family slow down and focus on gratitude before the holiday rush begins.
We call it our Thanksgiving Tree — or sometimes our Gratitude Tree — and it’s one of my favorite DIY holiday decor projects. Each of us takes a wooden leaf ornament and decorates it however we choose — paint, markers, glitter, anything goes! Then we write down what we’re most thankful for that year.
Watching how everyone’s “thankful lists” change is such a sweet reminder of how much we’ve grown and how truly fortunate we are. This little tradition has become one of our most meaningful family Thanksgiving activities.

This Thanksgiving gratitude craft is such a heartwarming way to bring your family together, spark creativity, and reflect on what really matters. Give it a try this season — I know you’ll love it as much as we do. 💛
